ABOUT inside the husk foodways
Mimi Lucero. Kichwa (left) & Chuli Mesh. Yucatec Maya (right) Co-founders
Inside The Husk Foodways promotes being well for our agricultural systems. By continuing the restoration of heirloom seed varieties present in our communities as core foundations. With the support of indigenous cultural protocols and cultural humility, our work as seed stewards becomes part of a broader conservation network. The effects of this community process of restoration in our experience have led to a social shift that promotes showing up in our communities with reciprocity and better health. We assist communities in nourishing their seed ways and their ability to continue rebuilding resilient lives.

Inside the husk foodways, is a movement and a growing collaboration between generations. We believe in the knowledge of our life-givers, diverse gender expressions. And seed restoration as a family protocol. Our communities and their integrity depend on all physical and spiritual evidence that guarantees and allows us to remember and replicate our practices, faith, and spirituality.
These are our eyes to the future, and we invite you to be a part of it.
